It is silent once inserted. I had a competitor, that was more powerful, but you could only use it in a club environment. This one will not rock your socks off, but it is more than capable of getting the job done. IE I’m not sure if the CAM girls are faking it, or if this product’s more modern competition is that much more powerful, but writhing in ecstasy is not going to happen with this device, but you will be biting your lower lip, and occasionally holding on to your SO for support. The remote lets you know what is going on, but it is noisy. Fortunately it can be silenced, but it then leaves you blind. The range is also lacking, but if you stay close to your SO, or hand her the remote when you step away it works fine. I guess you can’t have it all. Overall it was purchased for public use (date night at a quietromantic restaurant), and it is working as intended, for any other use I would say look elsewhere.
